The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) is a nationally-recognised qualification that reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. Achievement of this qualification or an equivalent by trainers and assessors is a requirement of Standards of the VET Quality Framework / Australian Quality Training Framework.

The Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (BSB41415) is nationally recognised qualifications suitable for people in working in a work health and safety (WHS) role in a wide range of organisational and industry contexts who may or may not work under supervision. May provide leadership and guidance to others and have some limited responsibility for the output of others.

To successfully enter and complete this course, you MUST:

  • Have read the Learner Handbook ensuring understanding of the schedule of fees, assessment and refund requirements
  • Complete in full the enrolment form including LLN assessment, and provide a validated unique student identifier (USI)
  • Have reliable internet access and a fully-functional computer / smart device loaded with a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox) and appropriate software applications to read PDF files (e.g. Adobe), produce documents and/or spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Office), and ability to download and upload documentation from/to the ELMO learner dashboard)
  • Have a current valid email account for online learning and assessment communication and support
  • Have a telephone and current valid telephone number for learning and assessment communication, support and interviews
  • Successfully complete and be deemed competent in all assessment tasks to the required published standard.

Language and literacy skills at a level that enables you to read, interpret, communicate and use a range of WHS information and data (including legislation, regulations, codes of practice, guidance material, policies and procedures, and workplace WHS documentation), to record and report information, to write reports, to make improvement recommendations, and to raise, present and address WHS issues;

Numeracy skills at a level that enables you to collect, calculate and analyse workplace data (including performance results), and to implement plans;

Technology skills to conduct online research using a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox) and to use a variety of software applications to send e-mails with attachments, read PDF files (e.g. Adobe), produce documents (e.g. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint), analyse WHS information and data (e.g. Excel);

The ability to research information and data from a variety of sources.
